Stuffed With Thankful Thoughts

Thanksgiving is almost over, but it's never too late to show gratitude for the things I am thankful for!  Thanks to Lyndsey at "a year of many firsts" for the opportunity to link up with other teachers in this fun way.

1.  First of all, I am thankful for my family.  I have an amazing husband, children, and grandchildren.  Our children are all grown now, and have children of their own.  It's always great to get together with our family...they are just fun to be around!  Every Thanksgiving we do a fun photo shoot in the backyard after stuffing ourselves with all kinds of yummy food.  This is a picture I took today of my super cute grandchildren that live nearby.

 2.  Second, I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to travel to some amazing places.  Last summer my husband and I went to Denmark to ride bikes throughout the countryside.  It was an amazing trip, and one that I will always look back on with a smile.

3.  Third, I am thankful to work with such great people at my school site.  Since I have a 2-3 combo this year, I get to work with two great grade level teams.  They are supportive, and FUN!

Here is my 2nd grade team on Halloween.

4.  My good health is another thing I am grateful for.  I love to hike, ride my bike, play volleyball, and just move my body!  My husband and I love to hike and ride our bikes together, and I am thankful even though I am not as young as I used to be, I still enjoy a healthy lifestyle with lots of physical activity.

5.  Last but not least, I am grateful for my parents.  They are the kindest, sweetest people I have ever known, and a joy to be around.  On a recent trip to visit them I taught them how to use an iPad.  Even though mom is 81, and dad is 86, they caught on really quickly, and now I am blessed with their daily texts using iMessage.  What a great way to keep in touch!

Thanks again to Lyndsey for the opportunity to link up with some great teachers, and to take a few minutes out of my busy life to share what  I am thankful for.
