Kay
is a Digital Learning Coach with over 21 years of teaching
experience in the elementary classroom. She is a wife of 40 years to a
wonderful husband, mom to four amazing children, and a lucky grandma of ten!
In her present position as
a Digital Learning Coach, Kay has the task of transforming teaching and learning in the
classroom. Also a photographer and web designer, Kay specializes in
creativity and collaboration in technology integration, and has won several
awards for her class videos. She has been recognized as a National Board
Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading and
Language Arts, and was the Lakeside Union School
District's Teacher of the Year in 2004. She serves as the Webmaster for
her school district website, and maintains her district’s Instagram account. In addition to her tech blog where she posts tech tips
and resources, she co-authors a Common Core blog with her friend and
teaching buddy Sandy Patterson.
