2nd grade teacher Sandy Patterson taught her students "Opinion Writing" in a fun, engaging way. "Opinion Writing" is one of the new Common Core Standards for 2nd grade. She told her students that she was thinking of getting a class pet and wanted their opinion about which pet to get.
